It is claimed that Xbox Scorpio will have very few Xbox One games at launch that are supported.
Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter was answering questions on if he thought Sony would be upgrading their hardware to compete with Microsoft’s latest system the Xbox Scorpio. He said he couldn’t see Sony doing it and the Xbox Scorpio will go by the same rules as the the new PS4 Pro.
He went on to say that although not many games will be supported at launch all the games supported by the PS4 Pro will be supported by the Xbox Scorpio. Games will not be running at 4K but will defiantly look a lot sharper on a 4K display. The PS4 Pro isn’t a true 4K console it’s actually a high definition, high dynamic variant of it!
Pachter believes that the PS5 will come out around 2019 to 2020 and the the Xbox 2 will follow suit, this means we should be getting a new console cycle around every three years.
Pachter’s predictions have always been a bit hit and miss, most of the time just stating the obvious. Also there is the argument that the PS4 Pro isn’t a 4K console and that the Xbox Scorpio won’t be either which is hard to understand with the power that the Scorpio has!
