Microsoft Mixed Reality Headset For Both Windows And Project Scorpio

Today at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco Microsoft shared that they would be continuing to build on the momentum of last year, they are planning to ship developer edition headsets created in partnership with Acer to their developer partners.

The headset is reported to look like the image below.

The reported specifications of the headset are:

Two high-resolution liquid crystal displays at 1440 x 1440

Display refresh rate up to 90 Hz (native)

Built-in audio out and microphone support through 3.5mm jack

Single cable with HDMI 2.0 (display) and USB 3.0 (data) for connectivity

This will be the first mixed reality headset to deliver built-in inside-out tracking which means you won’t need external trackers or sensors on the walls and it will also be setup free just plug and play!
