Sony Has Identified The Last Of Us: Part 2 Story Leakers

Last week we reported that certain parts of Naughty Dogs upcoming game The Last Of Us Part 2 had been leaked online. The main issue with this was it was actually parts of the games main story and contained enough to be classed as major spoilers!

Shortly after the leak the content was removed off the internet much to every gamers relief! Sony have now confirmed in a statement reported to GameIndustry.biz that they have actually found the source of the leak and went on to say:

“SIE has identified the primary individuals responsible for the unauthorised release of TLOU2 assets. They are not affiliated with Naughty Dog or SIE. We are unable to comment further because the information is subject to an on-going investigation. We’re looking forward to when The Last of Us Part II will be in your hands and can’t wait for you to enjoy the full experience on June 19.”

It was originally thought the leak was from an internal source or ex employee but as Sony said, they are not affiliated with Naughty Dog or SIE

Creative director Neil Druckmann went on to say about the leaks following Sony’s original statement that he’s “Glad this got cleared up, but there are a lot of other false rumours out there. Looking forward to discussing all of this once the game is out.”

The Last Of Us: Part 2 is due to release June 19th, clear some space ready for it though as it’s another big one coming in at over 100gb!
